Movies & Visual Style
Wes Anderson's visual style is very particular and unique. Centered shots and the use of symmetry is present in most of his movies
Futura Font & Colors
Futura font is Anderson's staple font for all his movies. The colors used for the posters and the motion graphics piece are based on Wes Anderson movies' vibrant color palettes.
Movement
Wes Anderson uses panning and tracking movement. The illusion of movement was a key element for the posters designs.
Fantastic Mr. Fox
The Grand Budapest Hotel
Moonrise Kingdom
Fantastic Mr. Fox
For this poster the repetition of the word “Fantastic” is used to give the sensation of movement, the repetition of the “O” is used to resemble the dig scene (in a big part of the movie, the animals dig down through a hole to be saved from humans).
The Grand Budapest Hotel
For this poster, the content was tilted to give the sensation of movement. The idea was to resemble the packaging of the cake they use in the movie.
Moonrise Kingdom
The repetition and transparency are also used to represent movement in the title, the two “o’s” in the back resemble the scene of the girl looking through binoculars.
The triangle shape is used to resemble the distinctive tent and mountains of the movie.
